Exercise is important. here's why

It's no secret that exercise is important & effective when it comes to your health. Everybody who does regular exercise is better for it, mentally & physically.

However, almost nobody seems to know why exercise is good for you, only that it is. Sure, people may know that it releases endorphins which makes it feel good, but that isn't really enough of an explanation.

In this post, I'll go over the two main reasons why exercise is so important for anybody who wants to have a better quality of life.

1. Build that Body, Admire it in the Mirror

By far the most popular motivation for exercising is looking better. As shallow as it may sound, there is nothing wrong with exercising strictly for appearance-based reasons.

Self-esteem plays a huge role in life satisfaction for people. Compare those with confidence to those without it, and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Exercise is important because it can give you a self-esteem boost, not only because you look better, but also because it builds confidence.

Building your body over time in small increments proves one thing to yourself: that you are capable of making progress. This is especially effective for fitness because nobody can take away from your physique achievements; you get to where you are because of the choices you made.

2. Exercise Truly is the Best Medicine

The most well-known reason, exercise is important because of its many health benefits. 

Building muscle & losing fat is very well documented in terms of its many different benefits to overall function and performance. Improved bone density, increased strength, lowered risk of disease, better heart function, and higher endurance are just a few physical health benefits.

Exercise also improves mental health.

As previously mentioned, exercise releases endorphins which makes you feel good. These feel-good chemicals make it easier to keep progressing, which gets you more results and keeps the motivation loop going.

As bro-science as this sounds, this motivation loop combined with the incremental progress of bodybuilding is the aspect of fitness that improves mental health so much.

Exercise is Important For Higher Quality of Life

Bottom line is, exercise is important because it makes life better overall. 

The confidence you gain combined with the improvements to both mental & physical health is too much to overlook. 

If you're on self-improvement and you aren't implementing some form of exercise routine, you are effectively shooting yourself in the foot.
